While staying at Certain Bird in the woodsy Vermont hills, I felt inspired to record some solos in the dance studio one afternoon. I hadn’t been planning on recording any solo work, and had no particular aim with the recordings. The room has an inviting acoustic as well as a unique sort of calm. Large open windows allow the rustle of the wind in the trees (and the occasional vehicle passing by) into the recording.
